Brogent, a global leader in media-based attractions, has announced a major collaboration with Japan’s Toho Co. Ltd. to bring Godzilla The Ride to its i-Ride Flying Theatre attractions.

Set to launch in summer 2025, the new ride experience will take guests on a thrilling aerial journey through the Godzilla universe.

The attraction will feature an original ride film written, directed, and produced by Japanese filmmaker Takashi Yamazaki, who won the 2024 Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for Godzilla Minus One.

Known for his cutting-edge visual storytelling and technical artistry, Yamazaki brings a cinematic depth and authenticity to the project that promises to elevate the flying theatre experience.

“I’m thrilled to return to Godzilla’s world from the passenger seat,” said Yamazaki. “What powerful adversaries will emerge? Where will this ride take us next? As a ride enthusiast, I eagerly anticipate my first experience and am working closely with our team to create the most exhilarating and immersive Godzilla adventure.”

Godzilla The Ride builds on the success of Yamazaki’s earlier attraction, Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle, which premiered at Seibu Amusement Park in Tokorozawa, Japan.

The new iteration will take advantage of Brogent’s proprietary i-Ride Flying Theatre technology, combining multi-sensory motion, visual effects, and ultra-high-resolution imagery to create a fully immersive experience.

A Brogent spokesperson commented: “By adding Godzilla The Ride to Brogent’s IP portfolio, we’re reinforcing our leadership in immersive entertainment and offering theme parks and flying theatre operators a compelling new attraction. With the global rise of Japanese anime and strong demand for IP-driven experiences, this collaboration delivers a premium product that enhances guest engagement and creates lasting value for our partners.”

The ride will be available at Brogent’s i-Ride Flying Theatre locations, which span major theme parks and entertainment centres worldwide.
