The opening ceremony for the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) has been scheduled for July 3rd, following President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s approval. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired a meeting to review preparations for the event, which is expected to span several days, and showcase Egypt’s cultural and tourism achievements.
The meeting was attended by key ministers, governors, and officials from relevant entities. Discussions covered logistical arrangements, guest invitations, and ministry responsibilities to ensure smooth execution.
The GEM, located near the Great Pyramids of Giza, is set to be the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization.
