Alterface has shared details of three interactive projects opened last month featuring the supplier’s interactive technology.

The first was designed and produced by Sally Dark Rides, with Alterface supplying shooting technology and the ride’s interactive system. Called Volkanu: Quest for the Golden Idol, the ride debuted along with the rest of the new Lost Island theme park in Iowa, US, on June 18.

Seated inside a trackless ‘Inferno’ ETF ride vehicle, guests can enjoy interactive 3D media, dynamic scenery, animatronic figures and special effects.

The second opening came in an all-new Lego Discovery Centre in Brussels, Belgium.

Called Imagination express, the ride features ‘magic’ devices supplied by Alterface in which families collect points through pointing technology, making engagement with projection mapping, media and physical targets. The ride takes guests through an oversized Lego world into a giant bubble bath, down the plug hole, deep into a brick-built ocean and finally into outer space.

The third opening came with a new dark ride at the Fantasy Island Resort near Skegness, UK, with the debut of Harrington Flint’s Island Adventures.

Designed by park operator the Mellors Group, Alterface’s shooting devices are featured in the five ETF Mystic Mover vehicles acquired from a former dark ride in the UAE.

The storyline is based on a fictional explorer and treasure hunter. Riders join Harrington Flint as he comes face-to-face with his old enemy Professor Crow, who is on a mission to raise an ancient Mayan god of war and take over the world.
