Leading AV creative technology company 7thSense has been awarded the highly-prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, with the honour to be officially recognised during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace in June.

Established in 1965 and previously known as the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise and The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, King Charles III has continued the legacy of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, by putting his name to the awards.

Announced on April 21 – in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday – the award recognises the best of British, with the Sussex-based 7thSense recognised for demonstrating outstanding short-term growth and commercial success in international trade over the last three years.

With further offices in the UK in London, and in the US in Orlando and Burbank, 7thSense has, since its foundation in 2004, established itself across multiple specialist markets with highly innovative products, all of which are developed, tested and built in-house.

Through the attractions world, 7thSense products can be found at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, as part of Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run at Disneyland in California, at Dubai’s Museum of the Future, and at the soon-to-open MSG Sphere in Las Vegas.

In recent years, the ‘‘Three Fights with Baigujing” flying dark ride at Huai’an Xiyou World in China, is powered by 7thSense media servers. For Expo 2020 Dubai, 7thSense supplied 56 media servers and 17 Medialon show control systems.

“We’re honoured to have been recognised with a King’s Award,” said Matt Barton, CEO of 7th Sense.

“In our journey as a company, we have built a reputation for quality, performance, export success and service. I’m incredibly proud of what the 7thSense team has achieved.”

In 2014 7thSense was named winner of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Innovation and now adds the King’s Award for International Trade for Outstanding Short-Term Growth in overseas sales over the last three years.

“Our strategy is to deliver unrivalled customer service, continuous innovation and the most compelling experiences through storytelling technology,” said Bryan Hinckley, 7thSense’s managing director.

“To be recognised with an award that acknowledges our major business growth during the challenging Covid and Brexit periods, is truly testament to the dedication and agility of our incredible team.”
